This page lets you know about problems we have worked on in SweepsWizard. Open problems are ones we know about and are currently working on. Resolved problems describe the problem and give you a way to handle the problem.

Open Problems

Internet Explorer 5.5 Beta version causes processing errors.
Some people have installed the Internet Explorer 5.5 Beta that is currently posted on Microsoft's web site. Installing this version will cause SweepsWizard to not be able to process sweeps. We are currently looking at the problem to see if there is something we need to do for the final release or if this is a temporary problem with the Beta version.

To identify if you have the Beta version

1) Start Internet Explorer

2) Go to the "Help>About Internet Explorer" menu option

The version we have identified as causing problems is version 5.50.4030.2400IC

The way to resolve this problem is to uninstall the 5.5 Beta version. The uninstall should return you to your prior version of Internet Explorer.

Our policy is that we don't guarantee the correct operation of SweepsWizard with pre-release software. This includes operating systems and layered products like Internet Explorer.

Resolved Problems

Runtime error 438 - Entering a sweepstake sometimes aborts with a runtime error 438.
This error is caused by an incompatibility in Microsoft's SHDOCVW.DLL module included with America Online (AOL) and Internet Explorer 4.0 (prior to patch release SR2). It was corrected in Internet Explorer 5.0 and in 4.01(SR2). Update 2.0.8 of SweepsWizard corrects this problem, regardless of the version of Internet Explorer installed on your system. Users of SweepsWizard version 2.0.7 or earlier should download and install this update as soon as possible to correct the problem.
